I chose to design a tile rug to go underneath the dining room table which is incorporated into this kitchen. A slate field surrounded by a custom designed mosaic border frames the space. The remainder of the floor is planks of rainforest marble which gives the illusion of falling branches. The fabric on the chairs, being similar color and pattern, look like they evolved from the floor. Pine patterned bronze tiles highlight the area behind the stove and the backsplash. The illuminated stained glass transom windows in the cabinets are one-of-a-kind and designed to complement the pendant lights over the island and the chandelier.
