Two
full walls of stone, contrasting rich cherry wood, against the
exceptionally high cathedral ceiling of this family room created
the perfect backdrop for a lodge-like setting. To enhance the
colors of the stone, I chose to use a monochromatic palette
of grays, taupes and camel with black and white accents. When
a limited amount of color is used, texture becomes important.
The sofa is a charcoal colored mohair, soft yet extremely durable.
It is adorned with a simply divine faux chinchilla throw backed
in ultra suede. Whether watching TV or curling up by the fire,
this room is exceptionally comfortable and relaxing. |
