I
chose to design this space as a dressing room, since there was
a large built-in armoire, in addition to an adjoining walk-in
closet. My inspiration was my mother’s vintage hats, suits,
pocketbooks, lingerie, stockings and handkerchiefs. Black and
white photos of movie stars from the 30’s, 40’s
and 50’s set the mood amidst a palate of blush tones.
The window treatment mimics a theatre drape behind a custom
designed mirrored dressing table. An antique banquette with
luxurious pillows completes the glamorous setting. |
